In 1927, East Potomac Park was home to the only twenty-seven hole golf facility in the world with three (!) reversible nines. Golf’s first reversible course, the Old Course at St Andrews, switched directions of play on a regular basis from the 1870s into the 1920s. Today, the clockwise routing is played only a few days every year (often on and around April Fool’s Day). The courses of St. Andrews are managed by the local authorities - yes, it’s a muni – who know that visiting golfers from around the world want to play the counter-clockwise Open Championship course. Back here in DC, golfers at East Potomac Golf Links will someday again experience Walter Travis’ original 18-hole reversible layout thanks to the creativity of highly respected golf architect Tom Doak.

This print shows the routing of NLT's inaugural Reversible Day event at East Potomac Golf Links held on March 10, 2022.  8.5x11 Prints feature the signature of NLT Co-Founder, and the layout's mastermind, Michael McCartin.

All proceeds will go to helping NLT promote and protect affordability, accessibility and engaging golf course architecture at municipal courses throughout the United States of America.
